Device for mounting a component on a printed circuit board

In the case of a device for mounting an electrical or electronic component which possibly needs to be exchanged or replaced, namely in particular a trimming resistor (tuning resistor) on a printed circuit board, it is proposed to arrange a spacer on the printed circuit board such that this fixes the component at a predetermined height above the printed circuit board, to be precise at a height which holds the component upwards out of the potting compound covering when the space is subsequently to be filled with potting compound. The holder has insertion aids for the electrical connecting wires of the trimming resistor and latching means, so that the electrical component can be inserted and latched in immediately by means of precut and suitably bent connecting wires. The holder is preferably part of a potting frame which is arranged on the printed circuit board. The holder allows the component which possibly has to be replaced to be replaced even when the potting compound has been applied.
