PURPOSE:To omit a security control space by reading an operation memory medium in a physical unit and setting this memory medium opposite to a security control file. CONSTITUTION:A maintenance control system for memory media consists of one or more operation memory media 5, a maintenance control memory medium 6 and a restorage memory medium 10. Then a physical input part 1 is added to said control system together with a data discriminating part 2, a control data generating part 3, a physical/logical editing part 4, a security control data input part 7, a logical/physical editing part 8, and a physical output part 9. Then the information on a medium control part is delivered as the file control data on the medium 6. Then the data file control data and other data re outputted for each logical record and a trailer record is delivered after the data on the media 5 are all copied. When those data are restored, a medium control part is reproduced out of the file control data. While the file control data and other data are reproduced out of the logical records and restored.
