A process and an apparatus for deburring the perforation edges of perforated bricks which are produced by extrusion. In order to avoid the high-outlay cutting and grinding of the perforated bricks after firing, by means of which a clean perforation side is to be achieved, the burrs on the perforation borders are, according to the invention, pressed into the perforations when the perforated bricks are still in a plastically deformable state, before the firing thereof. In order to carry out this process, the invention provides a load-bearing panel (7) which can be displaced relative to a perforated brick and from which there project shaped pins (9) which are each assigned to the perforations (4) of the perforated brick. Said shaped pins (9) are matched, in terms of their cross-sectional shape, to the perforations (4) and can be inserted into said perforations. In order to achieve satisfactory insertion, the shaped pins (9) exhibit an insertion surface (93) and are fastened such that they can be deflected out laterally. <IMAGE>
