PURPOSE:To quickly transmit a bit of urgent information by incorporating the switching means of a communication route for directly transmitting a bit of camera body information and photographing lens information in a teleconverter. CONSTITUTION:When a switch in the communication route switching circuit 23 built in the teleconverter 2 is turned on, a lens driving stopping instruction or the like generated in a CPU 31 of the camera body 3 is transmitted directly to a CPU 11 in the photographing lens 1 without being passed through a CPU 21 in a converter 2. Thereby, quick response can be attained. In the case of transmitting information requiring correction at the time of mounting a converter 2, the CPU 31 transmits the information requiring correction to the CPU 21 as a command e.g. and the CPU 21 turns off a switch in the circuit 23. The CPU 31 transmits the displacement quantity of a focus face to the CPU 21 and the CPU 21 corrects the information and transmits the corrected information to the CPU 11 in the lens 1. Consequently, urgent information can also be quickly coped with without losing a high communication function. |
