A compound which is a pyridinyl-s-triazine derivative of the formula: <CHEM> wherein R1 is C1-C7 alkyl; or phenyl optionally substituted with at least one of halogen, C1-C3 alkyl, C1-C3 alkoxy and C1-C3 haloalkyl; R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen or C1-C3 alkyl, or R1 and R2 together represent a polymethylene group of the formula: @ @@CH2 @@@ in which n is 3 or 4; and R4 is C1 - C4 alkyl, with the proviso that when R1 is methyl or ethyl, R4 is not methyl, or a salt thereof.
