PURPOSE:To easily execute the justification check of the transmitted data of a data processing device side by printing over data group in a following line by dividing them if the data is over a printing length. CONSTITUTION:The received data stored in a page buffer 12 is read out by a line length check part 13 so as to check whether or not the character pitch, the number of repeating times and the number of characters of the received data are within the effective printing length after calculating them. When they are over the printing length, the data is divided into the groups of the characters within the printing length and the over printing length portion of characters. The group of characters within the printing length passes through the line length check part 13 without stopping and the group of the over printing length portion of characters and over marks is generated as written two lines of data in a data generation part 14. Then a pattern is read out from a font memory 15 so as to write in a line bit buffer 16 and at the same time the process of making a new page is executed. Since the over portion is printed in the following line if the data is over the printing length, the justification check of the transmitted data of the data processing device side can be easily executed.
