PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and to greatly improve printing performance by incorporating >=70mol.% silver chloride into the titled plate and incorporating at least one kind of 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazole therein. CONSTITUTION:This printing plate contains at least >=70mol.% silver chloride and contains at least 1-phenyl, 5-mercaptotetrazole. The 1-phenyl-5- mercaptotetrazole is generally 1X10<-5>-1X10<-2>mol. per mol. range. The silver complex salt diffusion transfer planographic printing plate which has the high plate wear required for news printing, the resolving power suitable for high- quality color printing and the sufficiently high sensitivity to permit exposing with a low-output CRT and for which a high-illuminance short-time scanning exposing system is adopted is thereby obtd. |
