PURPOSE:To attain the same function as the provision of plural super process key signal generators, by providing plural frame memories corresponding to one super process key signal generator and a special effect picture synthesizing part respectively. CONSTITUTION:By selecting A as the base of a video, next, selecting video B as the input raw material of a key signal generator 7, then synthesizing them, the output of a picture synthesizing part 3 generates video E. The output of the key signal generator 7 at that time is stored in the frame memory 8a. Next, the input of the key signal generator 7 is switched to video C, and a key signal generated from the raw material is stored in the frame memory 8b. Furthermore, the input of the key signal generator 7 is switched to video D, and the key signal generated from the raw material is stored in the frame memory 8c. Next, by selecting the video E as the input of a picture synthesizing part 4, and synthesizing it with the key signal read out from the frame memory 8b at the picture synthesizing part 4, the synthesizing effect video F of three raw materials of the videos A-C can be obtained.
