PURPOSE:To certainly prevent the dripping of paint, prior to a painting process wherein paint is applied in a thickness equal to or more than a dripping limit and dried while an object to be painted is rotated around a horizontal axis, by applying correction painting. CONSTITUTION:A car body W water passed through intermediate coat spraying and baking processes P3-P6 is subjected to correction painting at first in expectation of a part where correction will be necessary after the painting of an outer surface by top coat. In a top coating processor P10, top coat is sprayed so as to form a paint film far thicker than 40mum becoming a dripping limit. Thereafter, a truck D is altered and the body W is transferred to a setting process P12 and a baking process P13 and the top coat is dried while the body W is rotated around the rotary axis extending in the horizontal direction. As mentioned above, by preliminarily performing prospective correction, the rapid transfer of the body to a drying process becomes possible.
