PURPOSE:To make cutoff grinding of a porcelain body and chamfering grinding to the end circumferential part performable at one stroke with one grinding wheel, by connecting a first grinding wheel with a cutting stone with a trapezoidal stone piece together as one body. CONSTITUTION:A composite stone is pressed to a columnar porcelain body in rotation as being rotated, and this porcelain body is cut off with the cutting stone piece 3 stuck onto the circumference of a blade 2 in a first grinding wheel 4. Next, the first grinding wheel 4 is pressed toward the porcelain body side by a presser device from the side at the opposite side to a second grinding wheel 7, and the porcelain body cut surface is formed into recess form. Then, an end face of the porcelain body is chambered by the trapezoidal stone piece 6 stuck to the side slanting outward of the circumferential part of a small diametral blade 5.
