PURPOSE:To obtain the insulating magnetic toner which does not remarkably depress a sensitivity, and does not generate a deterioration of an image quality, when used to an electrophotographic copying machine repeatedly transferring by specifying a mean particle size of the toner, and by adding a silica to the toner. CONSTITUTION:The mean particle size of the toner is a range of 7-30mu. The titled toner does not substantially comprise a fine toner having <=1.0mu mean particle size, and is comprised <=1.0wt% silica on the weight basis of the toner. When the mean particle size of the toner is >30mu, the image quality becomes roughly. When the mean particle size of the toner is <7mu, the vorticella-like coagulated particles are formed in a course of the processing of the toner or the processing of image formation, thereby reducing a fluidity of the powders and depressing a quality of the image. When more than the prescribed amount of the fine particles of the toner having <=1mu the mean particle size is comprised in the titled toner, the toner is strongly absorpted and deposited on the surface of a sensitized body, resulting in the remarkable deterioration of the sensitized body. The addition of the silica to the titled toner improves the fluidity of the toner. |
