发明名称 INK RIBBON MECHANISM FOR SERIAL PRINTER
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce relative speed between a print head and an ink ribbon and to reduce breakdown of a pin, by providing a ribbon carrier movable in the same direction as a carrier with a speed of 1/n of that of the carrier, a drive mechanism operatable with a speed of 1/n of that of the carrier, a movable pulley and a static pulley. CONSTITUTION:A stepped pulley 14 fixed to a carrier drive motor 13 has the ratio of diameter of 2:1. A belt 15 drives a carrier 2, and a belt 16 drives a ribbon carrier 1. The ribbon carrier 1 is driven in the same direction as the carrier 2 at a speed of half of the speed of the carrier 2 by means of a ribbon carrier drive mechanism. In the case that the speed of the carrier 2 is V, the speed of the ribbon carrier 1 is V/2 when the carrier 2 moves from left to right. When an ink ribbon 5 is wound at a speed (v), relative speed of the ink ribbon 5 against the ribbon carrier 1 is V/2+v, and the relative speed between a print head 4 and the ink ribbon 5 is V-(V/2+V/2+v)=v.
