摘要 PURPOSE:To process a signal rapidly at real time by using light and to integrate the titled device by providing light wave guides guiding incident light, light modulating parts and allay-like photodetecting parts on a substrate constituted by an electrooptical material. CONSTITUTION:Plural light wave guides 601-6018 guiding incident light I(t) are formed on the substrate 10 constituted by lithium niobate crystal and the light modulating parts 701 having respective bias electrodes 761 are formed on the way of the wave guides 601-6018. Voltage is applied to the bias electrodes 761 to modulate incident light I(t) at its strength. The photodetecting parts 801-809 are arranged like array in accordance with respective modulating parts 701 to constitute an optical arithmetic device Light modulated by the respective modulating parts 701 is detected by the photodetecting parts 801-899 arranged like array to operate the incident light I(t). Thus, a signal is rapidly processed at real time by using the light to integrate the optical arithmetic device.
