PURPOSE:To provide a small diameter mounting section and reduce air resistance by providing the mounting section journalled by a shaft on one side surface of a mirror housing integrally to transmit the rotation of a drive motor in the mirror housing to a transmitting gear disposed in the shaft section. CONSTITUTION:The side surface of a mirror housing 2 at the car body 20 side is provided on the lower portion with a box-shaped mounting section 21 integrally projecting therefrom and opened in the lower surface, and a shaft 3 is inserted into the mounting section 21. In the mirror housing 2 are disposed a mirror driving device for slanting a mirror 4 to a bracket 22 fixed to the interior of mirror housing 2 and a drive motor 8 combined with a reduction gear mechanism 9 for housing the mirror. One end 22a of bracket 22 is inserted into the mounting section 21 and provided on the lower surface with a ring- shaped projection 27. And onto the outer periphery of this projection 27 is fitted rotatably a transmitting gear 14 interposed between the lower surface of one end 22a and the upper surface of a base 1 to mesh with a gear 13 pivoted by the drive motor 8. |
