PURPOSE:To prevent the title heat exchanger from the leakage of air from the corners thereof, by a method wherein L-shape guide rails, supporting slidably the opposing two corners of the total heat exchanging elements of the heat exchanger, and flat guide rails, supporting the other opposing two corners, are provided while one of the flat guide rails is formed so as to be movable into the direction of the diagonal line of the total heat exchanging element. CONSTITUTION:A total heat exchanging element 2 is arranged in a box body 1 so that respective corners 8 are contacted with the central parts of respective surfaces of the box body 1. A pair of L-shape guide rails 3, receiving two opposing corners 8 of the total heat exchanging element 2, and flat guide rails 4, 5, opposing to the other two opposing corners 8, are provided in the box body 1 while one flat guide rail 5 is supported movably into the direction of the diagonal line of the total heat exchanging element 2. When the flat guide rail 5 is moved into the diagonal direction of the total heat exchanging element 2 and is fixed by a screw 9 after setting the total heat exchanging element 2 on the L-shape guide rails 3, respective corners 8 of the total heat exchanging element 2 are pushed against the L-shape guide rails 3 and the flat guide rail 4 whereby the element 2 may be fixed closely to the guide rails.
