The invention concerns a sailing vessel with outriggers to improve its transverse stability and safety. Two fore-and-aft beams that are stabilised by means of struts are attached to the hull, on each of which a transverse outrigger lies and is fixed in place. The transverse outriggers pivot towards the centre line; their outer ends angle down to the surface of the water and contain hollow bodies, preferably inflatable. With the present invention, a sailing vessel is created that is light, safe and fast, and can be stored and transported in a minimum of space. <IMAGE>
