<p>A pack of frond mats (10a - 10f) are deployed on the seabed by first laying the mats flat and securing them independently to a rectangular frame (12) via break ties (21) and linking chains (11). The frame (12) is then hoisted and lowered to the seabed. When the frame (12) is resting on the seabed, the lowermost mat (10f) of the pack is detached from the frame (12) and anchored. The frame (12) is then indexed to the next location, and the lowermost mat (10e) again detached and anchored. The process is repeated until all mats have been deployed.</p> |
