PURPOSE:To attain data communication between a terminal in a digital exchange and a terminal in an LAN by providing the titled system with switching interfaces connected to a main switch in the exchange and LAN interface circuits directly connected to the LAN. CONSTITUTION:The system is constituted of the main switch(MSW) 100 in a DPBX 1, data terminal connecting circuits(TCNs) 120, 121, an LAN connecting device(LANCN) 140, a CPU 110, DTCNs 130, 131, DTEs 150, 151 having V/24 interfaces, a BR-LAN 170 connected through the LANCN 140, and DTEs 160, 161 directly connected to the BR-LAN 170 through an LAN interface board built in the terminal. Thus, data communication can be attained between the terminal stored in the digital private branch exchange and the data terminal stored in the LAN.
