PURPOSE:To simplify the structure in a booster to be located between a governor for an engine and an operating mechanism, by moving an input member by the operating mechanism to change a circuit condition of a control circuit, and moving a power piston to drive the governor. CONSTITUTION:The booster 5 includes an input piston 10 connected through a wire cable 6 to an operating lever and an output shaft 11 connected to a spring receiver (controlled portion) of a governor spring of a governor for controlling a fuel injection quantity. The input piston 10 is slidably engaged with an inner periphery of a power piston 40 fitted in a cylinder body 30, and an output shaft 11 is fixed to the power piston 40. When the input piston 10 is axially moved relative to the power piston 40, oil passages 60 and 62 are opened and closed to control pressure in oil chambers 43 and 44, thereby driving the power piston 40 in response to the movement of the input piston 10.
