PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent baked product with less deformation by fixing a material to be baked on a rotating shaft, baking it and supporting the rotating shaft with a bearing not restricting the displacement of the shaft in the axial direction to prevent deformation due to thermal stress. CONSTITUTION:The long-sized material 3 to be baked such as a metallic pipe is placed in a furnace 1, and fixed to the rotating shaft 9 by a set screw 13. The material 3 is rotated by a driving gear 10 through a coupling 12. A heater 2 is simultaneously energized through a temp. controller 7, and the material 3 is heated and baked. In such a baking device, a ball slide bearing, etc., not restricting the displacement of the rotating shaft 9 in the axial direction are used as the bearings 11a-11d for supporting the rotating shaft 9. By this method, the deformation due to thermal stress resulting from heating and cooling is prevented.
