The invention comprises dyestuffs of the formula where n is 1-4, R is H, Y is Na or H and the chromogen is an azo, metallized azo, anthraquinone or phthalocyanine dyestuff. The compounds are prepared by reacting cyanuric chloride with the chromogenic residue and then reacting the product with the sodium salt of sulphanyl - amido - N1 - methyl - N1 - omegamethane - sulphonic acid, or by first reacting the above sodium salt with cyanuric chloride and then reacting the product with the chromogenic residue.ALSO:N - p - acetylamino benzene sulphonamido-N1 - methyl - N1 - omega - methane - sulphonic acid is prepared by reacting N-p-acetylamino benzene sulphonyl chloride with methylamine and sodium oxymethane sulphonate. Hydrolysis with HCl yields sulphanyl-amido-N1-methyl-N1-omega-methane sulphonic acid.
