Mass production of seamless capsules.

There is disclosed a method of and an apparatus (10) for mass producing seamless capsules wherein individual capsules formed within an encapsulating device are caused to fall freely successively through a zone of mist which hardens their shells to the extent necessary to prevent their deformation upon impact with the surface of a collecting medium. In one embodiment, the temperature of the mist is so controlled as to partially harden the shells by cooling them, and, in another embodiment, the composition of the mist is such that it partially hardens the shells by chemical reaction.
