An aerial comprises a hollow square pyramidal electromagnetic hom 12 and an associated reflector 16 having a surface which is generated by the revolution of a parabola about an axis parallel to a diagonal of a crosssection of the said horn. As described, the horn 12 is excited by a waveguide connected to its apex 14, and a beam is radiated from an aperture 18. It is stated that the beam widths with either horizontally or vertically polarized radiation are substantially the same, and that side lobes are small. |
