PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of an iron core by providing a groove having a suitable depth in the surface coinciding with an iron core mating part of a member to be interposed between mating parts of said core. CONSTITUTION:A stator core 2 to be divided is composed of an end plate 5 biasing a laminated thin iron core 4, a clamping bolt 6, a duct piece 7 arranged between said core and the end plate for ventilation, and cotters 9, 10 provided on a core mating part 8 as members for prevention of the core from deforming and overheating. Out of said two cotters, the cotter 10 arranged on the stator core side is provided with a groove 11 in the same radial direction as that of the core mating part. In this manner, a mutual encroachment due to thermal elongation of the stator core in its mating parts can be lightened and overheating of the stator core can be prevented.
