PURPOSE:To efficiently remove fluorine, by adding a calcium salt and a ferric salt to waste water containing hydrogen peroxide and fluorine and subsequently adding an alkali agent thereto to form a precipitate. CONSTITUTION:Waste water containing hydrogen peroxide and fluorine is adjusted to pH4 or less and a calcium salt is subsequently added to the waste water in an amount of 1-2 reaction equivalent and 25-300mg/l of a ferric salt is also added thereto. Thereafter, an alkali agent is added to the waste water to adjust pH thereof to 9 or more to form a precipitate. Subsequently, solid-liquid separation is performed. By this method, fluorine in waste water can be efficiently removed.
