PURPOSE:To enable execution of automatic extinguishment after lapse of a specified time from ignition, by a method wherein a timer module for a clock is used as a timer element. CONSTITUTION:A timer module 6 is a clock which enables display of time in combination with a LCD display unit 15, a combustion detector 5 and 8 timer extinguishing mechanism 7 have no built-in timer and count time by means of a signal from the timer module 6. The combustion detector 5 monitors the combustion state of a combustion cylinder 4, and when an error in ignition and poor combustion occur, outputs an extinguishment signal to the timer extinguishing mechanism 7 to immediately effect automatic extinguishment. The timer extinguishing mechanism 7 is provided with a drive motor 11; with an ignition control contact 8 pressed, the drive motor 11 is run to raise a wick 2 by means of a wick elevating mechanism 3. After a lapse of a specified time, the drive motor 11 is run again to lower the wick by means of the elevating mechanism 3 for automatic extinguishment. When an extinguishment signal is outputted from the combustion detector 5, the drive motor 11 is run to effect automatic extinguishment. |
