PURPOSE:To suppress the adhesion of toner to a wall surface and to prevent the mixing of solidified adhesive toner into a developer by forming the wall surface of a developing casing as a prescribed shape and cleaning the wall surface by a magnetic brush made of a developer stirring member. CONSTITUTION:Toner from a toner replenishing part 3 and a recovered developer are stirred by a rotating developer stirring member 15 including a magnet 16 and supplied to a developing roller 17 through a paddle wheel 19, a doctor 21 and so on. The shape of the wall 11A of the developing casing 11 arranged in the vicinity of the member 15 is formed like a curve which is in contact with a magnetic brush 23 of the member 15 and cleaned up by the brush 23. Consequently, the toner is not stuck to the face of the wall 11A and the developer can be prevented from the mixing of the solidified and dropped toner.
