PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fibers, readily colorable and providing rich variety of color as well as a three- or multilayered structure or fiber structure of optional mutual polymers containing a bonding resin, by splitting specific drawn expanded multilayered films and forming short fibers. CONSTITUTION:0.1-0.6wt.% foaming agent is added to expand at least one layer of a multilayered film containing a low-melting thermoplastic resin 1 and a high-melting thermoplastic resin 2. The resultant film is then slit and drawn or drawn and slit. If a predrawn film is used, the film is directly slit. The film in a state of an undrawn tape is drawn. The obtained film is then split to provide a split yarn, which is cut to afford short fibers. |
