<p>PURPOSE:To effectively execute an operation without generating crosstalk by dividing a crystal element having electrooptical effect into plural elements, integrating respective divided elements through electrodes and forming other electrodes on the surfaces of respective divided elements. CONSTITUTION:An optical shutter array is a laminated body consisting of a polarizer on the light incident side, a crystal 44 having an electrooptical effect, a transparent supporting base 40, and an analyzer on the light emitting side. The crystal 44 is divided into many parts 44a and a pixel 7 is constituted at every part 44a. Respective parts 44a are integrally coupled through respective electrodes 36 to be common electrodes. In addition, the transparent electrodes 35a, 35b to be signal electrodes are stuck on the upper and lower surfaces of these parts 44a. These transparent electrodes are mutually connected through transparent electrode parts 35c. Since an electric field is generated in the crystal of each pixel 7 sufficiently up to the depth by voltage applied between the electrodes 35 and 36, incident light is sufficiently modulated. Since the electrodes are arranged between respective parts 44a, the generation of crosstalk can be prevented.</p> |
