DYEING OF SPINNING DOPE FOR FIBER

PURPOSE:To obtain deep purple - black spun-dyed fibers having excellent solvent, light, heat, water and chemical resistance as well as infrared ray reflectivity, by adding a specific azo compound as a colorant to a spinning dope and spinning the resultant dope. CONSTITUTION:A colorant consisting essentially of an azo compound expressed by the formula [X is H or halogen; m is 1-4; R1 is (substituted)phenylene or biphenylene; n is 1 or 2; R2 is (substituted)phenylene when n is 1 and (substituted)phenylene or biphenylene when n is 2; Y is atomic group forming benzocarbazole ring] is added to a spinning dope and spinning is carried out to afford the aimed fibers.
