The invention relates to a ceiling light, in particular for living and working rooms, having a pot-shaped reflector, the light-emitting surface of which is circular. The reflector is bounded in the sections along the optical axis by parabola branches, the centre axes of which run at an acute angle with respect to the optical axis and intersect at the optical axis. The focal length of the parabola branches varies continuously. It decreases continuously from the median section perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal extent of the fluorescent tubes to the median section parallel to the fluorescent tubes. At the same time, the distance between the focal points of the parabola branches increases continuously. This takes place by virtue of the fact that the point of intersection of the centre axes of the parabola branches is displaced continuously in the direction of the light-emitting direction, without its angle with respect to the optical axis changing. The changing of these positions of the points of intersection and of the focal length is coordinated such that an elliptical base area is produced in the region of the vertex of the reflector. |
