PURPOSE:To prevent a jam from occurring by providing a detection means of the transfer state before the audit means of sheets and excluding the sheets transferred obliquely. CONSTITUTION:Two bill passage detectors 60b, 60b are provided on the transfer path R between an intake/takeout device 35 and an audit section 56 of bills to detect the tip of the bill A. Signals from these skew detectors 60b are sent to a skew judging section, if the time difference between the signals from both detectors is the preset time or more, it judges that a large skew occurs, and distributing gates 59b are switched by a solenoid. The bill A having passed the detectors 60b is temporarily guided to an accumulating section by this switching. |
