PURPOSE:To prevent one-sided wear of a roller mechanism, by a method wherein, in a chain for conveyance having a roller mechanism, a driven roller is mounted externally of a drive roller through an automatic centering mechanism to form a roller mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The tooth part of a sprocket, not shown, is engaged between chain rollers 38 and 38 of a a chain gearing 4 of a chain 2 to rotationally move the chain 2. A pallet 26, on which a substance to be conveyed is placed, is placed on a placing surface 28 of a second roller 12, and a first roller 10 is rotationally moved over the rails 18 and 18 by means of the chain 2. This rotational movement forces the second roller 12 to move the pallet 26. In this case, with the pallet 26 inclined, a recessed spherical surface 20 of an automatic centering mechanism 22 is slid over a projected spherical surface 14, and the second roller 12 is inclined to adapt it to inclination of the pallet 26. This constitution prevents one-sides wear of a contact part between a placing surface and the first and the second rollers.
