PRODUCTION OF ORGANO SILICON COMPOUND HAVING FUNCTIONAL UREA MOIETY

PURPOSE:To readily obtain the titled compound in high purity at a low cost in a short time without any special equipments, by reacting a specific amino group-containing alkoxysilane with urea. CONSTITUTION:An amino group-containing alkoxysilane expressed by formula I (R<1> represents 1-6C monovalent hydrocarbon group; R<2> represents 1-6C divalent hydrocarbon group; R<3> represents 1-4C alkyl; a is 0-3; b is 0-2) (example; gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, etc.) is reacted with urea preferably in 0.8-3.0mol. ratio of the former to 1mol the latter normally under normal pressure preferably at 100-150 deg.C to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula II.
