The object of the present invention is to record the information required for reconstruction of the spatial and spectral distribution of the core magnetisation in as short a measuring time as possible. This is achieved by using sequences with a first high-frequency pulse, the flip angle of which is less than 90@, and with two subsequent 180@ pulses and by choosing the interval between the sequences to be so short that the longitudinal component of the cross magnetisation cannot reach its quiescent value. The invention can be used for spectroscopic imaging processes, in particular in the medical field. <IMAGE>
