<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a time lapsing until display is executed, by a method wherein, in a monitoring device which displays a stock state, the content of a counter table containing the number of items at each category in stock is subtraction-computed and processed from delivery and dispatch information. CONSTITUTION:When materials in an automatic warehouse 2 are delivered and dispatched, the reference number of the material and information on a category are sent to a central processing unit 1. The central processing unit 1 performs registration and cancellation processing for a large capacity external memory device 3. Right after that, after the central process ing unit 1 performs addition and subtraction processing of a counter table of a small capacity memory device 7 to update the content, it is returned to a state prevailing before it receives transfer dats. Based on a display demand from an input device 4, the central processing unit refers to the counter table of the small capacity memory device 7 to display retrieving and sorting result on e display device 5. This constitution enables shortening of a time lapsing between a demand and a display.</p> |
