1286965 Cement compositions BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 12 Dec 1969 [14 Dec 1968] 60704/69 Heading C1H [Also in Division C3] The mechanical properties of cements are improved by incorporating therein modified propylene polymers produced by reacting a propylene polymer containing 0À01 to 10 weight per cent of hydroperoxide groups with a compound R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>CR<SP>3</SP>R<SP>4</SP> or R<SP>5</SP>R<SP>6</SP>SiR<SP>7</SP>R<SP>8</SP>, where R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are chlorine, bromine or iodine and R<SP>4</SP> may also be hydrogen, and R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>, R<SP>7</SP> and R<SP>8</SP> are chlorine or bromine and R<SP>6</SP>, R<SP>7</SP> and R<SP>8</SP> may also be hydrogen, a saturated or unsaturated acyclic or cyclic aliphatic radical or an aromatic radical, so as to introduce up to 20 weight per cent of functional groups into the propylene polymer. In Example (6) 10 parts by weight of a reaction product of hydroperoxidized polypropylene with vinyl trichlorosilane is added to 90 parts of a mixture of cement, sand and water in a weight ratio of 1 : 4 : 2. |
