Support secures an engine (12) on its foundation (11) and comprises a rubber compression spring (6) and a pump (13) arranged between the engine and its foundation which pump is driven by the relative motion due to vibration of the engine. The pump and the spring form an integral assembly in which the pump is arranged in a central void in the spring. One end of the spring is secured to the engine whilst the other end is fixed to the moving part (1) of the pump, the fixed part (2) being secured to the foundation. The movement of the moving part relative to the fixed part of the pump may be limited by a resilient stop. |
