PURPOSE:To control photofatigue and photodeterioration and to improve color reproducibility and durability by incorporating a selective light absorptive material consisting of a dye into a photosensitive layer contg. an electric charge generating material and satisfying the specific equations. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body having the single photosensitive layer contg. at least the electric charge generating layer contains the selective light absorptive material consisting of the dye in the photosensitive layer and satisfies the equations. Since blue light is thereby effectively cut, the potential in the blue (and cyan) part of the photosensitive body is approximated to the potential of black paper and the blue color reproducibility (blue density) is improved. In addition, the short wavelength components including blue light can be cut and, therefore, UV resistance is improved and the stability to UV light is obtd. Since this dye acts as a yellow dye, the sensitivity to yellow light is improved and the yellow color reproduction is suppressed, by which fogging is prevented. |
