PURPOSE:To prevent an calling to an inadequate terminal equipment not permitted with data communication in advance by providing a call number checking means to a host computer so as to check the call number of the terminal equipment to start data communication. CONSTITUTION:The host computer 1 is provided with a call number output means 10, a call number checking means 7, a call number transmitting means 6 and a terminal name collating means 9. The call number output means 10 outputs a call number to a terminal equipment 3, the call number checking means 7 references the corresponding list between the terminal name and the call number based on the call number outputted from the call number output means 10 to check the call number and to acquire the corresponding terminal name, the call number transmission means 6 uses the call number checking means 7 to send the checked call number and the terminal 3 gives a call via a communication network 2, a terminal name collating means 9 receives the call number sent from the call number transmitting means 6 to collate the terminal name returned from the terminal equipment 3 receiving the caller number with the terminal name acquired by the call number checking means 7.
