<p>PURPOSE:To conduct interface simultaneously to electric and optical signals, and to miniaturize an optical gate array by constituting input-output interface cells for a gate array of electric and optical input-output interfaces. CONSTITUTION:Electric input-output and optical input-output each interface cell 5, 6 are disposed alternately around an internal cell 3. Respective cell 5a-5n, 6a... organizing the cells 5, 6 each processes only electric signals and only optical signals, and each of these cells 5a-5n, 6a... performs interface by bonding pads 7a-7n arranged around a gate array case 2, metallic small- gage wires 8a-8n and optical guides 9a.... Accordingly, both the electric and optical signals are interfaced in one gate array and the signals can be processed, thus miniaturizing the whole circuit.</p> |
