PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a circuit by confirming the existence of respective interface units(IFU) for the first time by transmission and reception with the interface unit of a terminal equipment connected to a home bus after entering a power source and sequentially setting to register the addresses. CONSTITUTION:When the power source is entered to a home control device, it is not known that what address of IFU 9 is connected to the home bus 8 at first. Then a main control part 2 transmits request command of inquiring a state to all the IFUs 9 connected to the home bus 8 through a transmission reception part 5 and the home bus 8. Answer signals showing their own states are returned from the respective IFUs 9 answering to them and the contents of the signals are absorbed on the home control device side. And in order of the number of address from a small one, for example, they are registered as the IFUs 9 to which the home control device executes the remote control of operation/stop or whose state the home control device monitors afterwards. Thus, the scale of the circuit can be simplified.
