PURPOSE:To obtain a molding having a surface excellent in appearance, water resistance and boiling resistance and suited for bath tubs, toilet tables, wall tiles, etc., by forming a surface layer on a molding by using an unsaturated urethane resin obtained from a specified alcoholic OH-containing prepolymer, a diisocyanate and a vinyl ester resin. CONSTITUTION:An unsaturated urethane resin (A) is obtained by reacting a prepolymer (a) containing at least two alcoholic OH groups in the molecule, obtained by reacting a novolak or polyhydric phenol compound with a monoepoxy compound or by reacting an epoxy resin with a phenol so that the phenolic OH groups are equimolar to the epoxy groups with a diisocyanate (b) such as tolylene diisocyanate and a vinyl ester resin (c) obtained by reacting an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule with (meth) acrylic acid. A surface layer is formed on a fiber-reinforced plastic molding or a cast resin molding by using resin A. |
