PURPOSE:To rapidly display information without constituting a device complicatedly, by reading a various kinds of information stored in an IC card when the inserted card is detected, and applying display control on prescribed information. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 15, when a season ticket being carried on a carrying roller 13, abuts with a magnetic recording part at the rear plane of the season ticket, and reads the information stored on the magnetic recording part. A control part 17 is provided with a CPU which issues a various kinds of control command, etc., and displays the name, the telephone number, etc., of a purchaser on a display part 7 out of the information read by the magnetic head 15 in the season ticket detected by a detecting sensor 11 by outputting a control signal to the magnetic head 15. Also, a hold detecting sensor 19, at the time of detecting the completion of the reading of the information from the ticket by the magnetic head 15, outputs a detecting signal to the control part 17. In such a way, it is possible to display the information stored in a portable storage medium rapidly without constituting the device complicatedly.
