PURPOSE:To permit automatic and quick cleaning operation of a transfer section for transferring photographic sensitive materials to respective processing tanks by providing pipelines for cleaning the transfer section and supplying the water applied with mold proofing means as clean water from these pipelines to the transfer section. CONSTITUTION:Automatic roller pair cleaners 42 and 62 of a crossover rack for cleaning the deposits on roller surfaces are installed to the transfer section for transferring the exposed films successively to the developing tank 30, fixing tank 52, and rinsing tank 68 in such a manner that the cleaning water of the crossover rollers is dropped as it is into the tanks 30, 52, 68. The water applied with at least one kind of the mold proofing means among UV irradiation, magnetic field irradiation, ion exchange resin treatment and addition of at least one kind of compd. selected from aminopolycarboxylic acids and phosphonic acids is then supplied from the devices 42 and 62. The automatic and quick cleaning operation of the transfer section is thereby permitted.
