<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the parts number of a polaroid filter by arranging a set of the polaroid filter at the positions before the separation of three primary colors and after the synthesis of them. CONSTITUTION:The two polaroid filters 11 and 12 are respectively inserted at the positions before the separation of the three primary colors and after the synthesis of them. Not a module style but a simple substance LCD 13 which does not annex the polaroid filter is used for each LCD 14-16 of red, blue and green disposed to a dichroic prism 4. For example, when a filter which passes a vertical polarized light is used for the polaroid filter 11 and a filter which passes a horizontal polarized light is used for the polaroid filter 12, the optical path of a white color light from light source 1 is adjusted by a condenser lens 2, and after that only the vertical polarized light component of the white color light is passed through the polaroid filter 11. The passed light is divided into the three primary colors, red, blue and green by a dichroic mirror 3 for spectrum.</p> |
