PURPOSE:To further ease the fitting accuracy of a reproducing head means against a recording track by scanning all information of every recording track even under the state of a discrepancy of an angle of the reproducing head means in its scanning direction against the recording track. CONSTITUTION:If there is a discrepancy of the scanning direction of the reproducing head means in angle against the reproducing track TR of an optical recording medium 1, all over the recording area of one track can be scanned by traversing slantways of plural head elements 3A and 3B constituting the reproducing head means against every recording track TR. Therefore, the recording information recorded on the recording track TR can be pickup-wise reproduced without deficiency. In this way, the fitting accuracy of the reproducing head elements 3A and 3B against the recording track TR is not required to be managed to high accuracy so much in value, and even under this condition a device capable of securely reproducing recording information is thus obtained.
