PURPOSE:To exactly detect non-correlation part of a line by perfectly removing the high frequency component of a luminance signal as well, by means of letting the signal, obtained by band-limiting the luminance band signal output of a comb line filter by a color signal frequency band pass filter, pass through the c-type comb line filter again. CONSTITUTION:A composite video signal inputted from an input terminal 1 is separated into a luminance signal (y) and a chrominance band signal (c) by the comb line filter 24, and outputted. Besides, at the detection of a line non-correlation, the luminance band signal (y) is made to pass through a chrominance signal frequency band pass filter 35. Then, by letting it again pass, through the c-type comb line filter 36 consisting of a 1H delay line 37 and a subtracter 38, only the line non-correlation component of the chrominance signal is extracted. Accordingly, the line non-correlation component can be more exactly detected than the luminance signal of a base band, and the separation of the luminance signal and chrominance signal of almost all the composite video signal can be performed perfectly.
