The present invention relates to trays whose position has to be adjusted at least along one access of translation. The positionable tray according to the invention is essentially characterised in that it comprises a base 2, a movement track 4, means 5 for mounting the base on to the movement track so that it can be moved on the movement track when a thrusting and/or traction force is exerted on it, at least one lever 8, means for mounting the lever so that it can pivot about a spindle 9 on the base, guiding profile means 12 mounted in association with the movement track, and at least one guide 10, 11 attached to the lever and mounted so as to interact with the guiding profile means when the lever is moved rotationally with respect to the base 2. Application in particular to the production of convertible seats for trains, planes, cars, hairdressing salons, etc. <IMAGE>
