PURPOSE:To obtain a high definition bar code electrical signal without having noise, by converting a beam of light transmitted from a crystal scan panel, and outputting the bar code signal of a bar code string in order. CONSTITUTION:By illuminating an illumination flux 6 on the bar code string 3 by using a photoirradiating means 5, the bar code string 3 is image-picked up on the plane of the crystal scan panel 9 with an objective optical lens 7. The light of the crystal scan panel 9 transmitted from a rectangular light transmission part which performs mobile scan is detected with a photoelectric transducer 11, and it is converted to an electrical signal, then, the bar code signal corresponding to the bar code string 3 can be obtained. The bar code signal is sent to a bar code identification output part 13 via a signal amplification part 12, and then, the decoding of the bar code string 3 is performed.
